Advanced On-Camera Commercials

Faculty: Kathy Searle

The commercial industry has gone through much change in recent years. It has gone from calls for the squeaky clean, bland All-American family types to a much more real, natural, interesting "today" look. Actors now must learn NOT to act, but simply . . . "BE."

Actors who can come across as REAL people of interest can do extremely well both financially and in gaining exposure for work in television and film.

The objective of this advanced course is to take the actor to the next level in their commercial acting career. This course is offered to those who have completed Kathy Searle's Basic Commercial Course or the equivalent elsewhere.

This six-session advanced course continues with further on-camera work, copy analysis and self-discovery.  Through continued taping and analysis, actors will acquire greater confidence, self-awareness and comfort in front of the camera. Most will be ready to audition. Maximum enrollment in this course is twelve, allowing ample opportunity for personal attention.
