Nervous in front of the camera?  Need more confidence on an audition?  Want to improve your auditions and sharpen your acting?  What you need is to take a class in improvisation!  Ever get paired up with someone you didn’t click with for an audition or callback?  Did it bring your performance down as a result?  It doesn’t have to.  The number one thing agents say every actor needs is improvisation skills.  Whether you want to improve your auditions, sharpen your acting, or have better agent interviews, improvisation is a necessary skill.

In the industry today Improvisation is a major tool for the actor in the development and process with scene work and character development. Many film directors today will use improvisation within there films to let the actor discover new things about the character, the spontaneity keeps the scene fresh and in the moment, Many times directors such as, (Rob Reiner, Christopher Guest and Martin Scorsese) incorporate improvisation into the film itself. Improv is now also being used in commercial and television auditions.

Our objective is to encourages the student to play, have fun, risk failure, learn from mistakes and take chances which will lead to new and unexplored territory as an actor and improviser. "Improv is not an end unto itself, but the means to being a better actor and thinking more creatively." 

In the improvisation program, students will learn all the fundamentals of good scenework, such as group mind, “Yes, And,” finding the game within the scene, etc.  In this eight-week program, you essentially become a long-form improv troupe.
